If you see the previous topic I posted it was about TV-Out, so now I would ideally like to use this joystick if possible. Anyone else been using this?

Thanks again for the help!

I have this joypad, but so far i couldnt test it. My port of QJoystick not work on pandora [not detecting any joypads] or just this joypad is not supported in angstrom.

I thought most joysticks that are treated like normal USB joystick, will just work.. I've had luck with an old Gravis USB gamepad and the Adaptoid (USB to N64 Controller adapter) and the a Gamecube controller equivalent. If people didn't realize most Joysticks are USB 1.1.. Since the Pandora's USB port is 2.0 only, you will need to use a USB 2.0 HUB or you could get some adapter to plug into the smaller OTG USB port.

I noticed some applications will just not find the joystick, were some will allow you to remap the controls with the joystick just fine.

I have Logiech dual action it has joystick on it and tried picodrive playing sonic 3 & knuckles and choose sonic he moves left and right, looks up and down with left joystick perfectly well.

I did one problem with mupen64 when i configured my controller with blight plugin and did everything correct,my pad doesn't work at all, that was really strange plus none of the mame emu's work at all with the controller.

my n64 controller with adaptoid and a usb hub work extremely well with mupen, i havent tried other games/emus, but its a much better experience playing mupen with n64 controller, and the analogue stick reacts much better as well

N64 controller works well that's good news i can get one of them, adaptoid adaptor connect into usb hub and controller goes into adaptoid port is that correct?

Can you please try to run pcsxrearmed and picodrive with the n64 controller.

N64 controller are one of the finest controllers to date nothing beats them.

n64 controller with adaptoid and a usb2 hub also works with psx rearmed and picodrive as they use same interface, although it seems psx can have pandora buttons and usb controller working at the same time, while picodrive cant, and for some odd reason, after i setup controller for picodrive and started playin some squardon, after about 5min into it, my controller gave in and wouldnt resond, and since pandora controls warent working and theres no touch interface, i wasnt able to exit emu, it could also be that pandora just froze all together since i couldnt exit by holding pandora button, nor alt+f4 out of it, but then again game was still running while controller gave in for whatever reason...hmm, anyway...i guess both other emus work, although i cant in my right mind recommend using n64 controller for either of those as theyre heavily reliant on dpad, and i never cared for n64 dpad, and pandoras is much better

I have seen n64 adaptor pc to usb connectivity which has 2 controller ports at the front but it's not adaptoid, can i use pc n64 usb adaptor, which are available from ebay.

I can't find any adaptoid, where can i get one from and please can you show an image of the adaptoid.

I bought mine back in 1999, The company that made them originally went out of business in 2002.

There is "the official page" claiming to be taking orders but I think it's unlikely that they're actually shipping anything, since the page hasn't updated since 2008 and the wiki page claims they haven't shipped anything and left people who ordered without any refunds.

So my guess there isn't any for sale any more.. but there are other companies that make similar devices.

dont buy from that official page, i think they still take money, but they havent shipped anything in years. im sure other n64 to usb adapters will work as well, just make sure you use a usb2 hub, ive already went over this multiple times on how to set it up in this thread, and i wont do it again. theres a chance you might come accross an adaptoid on ebay, or just put up some WTB threads in gaming forum marketplaces

It claims to be plug and play no drivers needed, which indicates it "should" just work.. Buy one and find out I guess..

The problem is i need to buy n64 control pad,if i bought both items and don't work,i will waste my money.

Do you think i should take the risk.

Sure go for it, it's not my money to risk. Unless you know someone on this forum that has that exact device and a Pandora there is no way to know for sure. Personally if I didn't spend money on such risks, I wouldn't have as many cool toys as I do have..
