Release Live system info

So if I understand correctly, X and default SDL use /dev/fb0, your SDL (omapfb) uses /dev/fb1, and liveinfo uses /dev/fb2.

If there's a way to make e.g. #000000 be transparent, that would be pretty cool. I could then make an option for System Info to act as a screen overlay -- of course it would only work when you're not running other /dev/fb1 applications, but still...

k, I'm throwing a global utility function in for sending stuff to it

Also, sock != -1 just means you were able to make a valid unix socket. (Looks like you'll get "sendto: connection refused" if it's not running.)

Thanks notaz!

How do I have it show the FPS of a game/etc.?

Sorry to the hijack...   Zero3K - what game are you playing in that screen shot?

Any game released with glshim since LiveInfo happened will have an FPS counter.

Thanks, getting it now.

Edit:  Works great now.  Thanks, again.

Liveinfo runs great, but while it is running the mplayer binary from the codec pack doesn't display anything and instead spews loads of

X11 error: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)
The player from the smplayer2 pnd works, though the liveinfo overlay isn't transparent any longer but gets a solid greenish backgroud.
I just ran into the same issue.  For the cost of a little CPU, I found that mplayer's "-vo x11" option allowed it to co-exist nicely with liveinfo.

Except with X11 rendering you are not running with Hardware decoding.. Not that hardware decoding is all together that phenomenal.

There's no decoding, just a scalable video layer..
Right, I think I should of said rendering(Though not sure that is fully the right term)  instead of decoding..

Where is that Assault cube game, or rather what is it called? Couldn't find it on the repo

If I recall it was never released, I think because of a bug in the collision system or something like that.

Works for me.  I almost always have it up.  If I need to reboot (or if the battery dies) starting it is one of the first things I do.

Cube uses glReadPixels on the depth buffer which mainline glshim doesn't support (and emulating it can be kinda slow), so it never got a release.
