it's rather old but ldraw is the 3d reference system for displaying lego models. it was first developed so that people can show their custom models to each other (because it supports a step break function just like lego building instructions) but hey you CAN view 3d lego models! (i'm experimenting with ldraw on my computer i dont know 5,6 years more.)
ldraw thing works like this: there's a parts database consisting of every lego part's geometric form available. (it's updated 3-4 times a year) and there are .dat model files they are basically text files with information on which part is used and its position,rotation,color etc. on the ldraw scene. this with all parts listed forms the model.
there are also other tools: CAD programs, 3d viewers, renderers, converters, etc.
now, can we use this ldraw system on our gp32's. at least just a viewer. and a simple cad would be very nice, too.
