INImaker is a small application that creates .ini files for all applications that are in the SD card's game folder. It tries to avoid overwriting or creating duplicate .ini files if they already exist.

Just put it on your SD and launch it. Download it from the archive.

it made a lot of icons for me in the wiz applications menu, but only picodrive seems to have used the png provided, the rest of the emulators have the png but none were made into an icon or anything.

cool idea though, will be very helpful in the future :)

It picks up .png icons that have the same name as the .gpe file. This was the convention in the GP2X days, and the firmware menu and Gmenu2x both expected this. So just rename the icons for App.gpe to App.png and they will show up in all the links :)

INImaker 0.2 is now available, see the first post for download and screenshots. This update has the option to find icons for .ini files that don't have them, by checking the respective game's folder for any .png images if a default one was not found. The interface is also a little more pleasant now.

have inimaker.gpe in my root folder and doesn't find any icons even tho last build did.

The last build didn't really look for icons, it just expected them to have a certain name. Try launching INImaker again, and press B to start the icon finder. Are there any .png files in the folders where no icons are found?

I tried both options, I named all my .png files the same as the .gpe files like picodrive.png (picodrive.gpe), basically the icons that came with the emulators as well. Every emulator has the .png with it.

I downloaded PicoDrive from the archive, put all its files in "game/Picodrive", and ran INImaker. The link created fine and it picked up the icon. Are you sure PicoDrive is somewhere in the "game" folder? This really should just work, maybe your SD is corrupt, it can happen.

If you use Windows, right click the card when in Wiz or card reader, select Properties > Tools tab > Error-checking. Good luck :)

oh that's the problem, I don't use the "game" folder, I just made one of my own called "Games".

I use "Games" for the open source games here
then "Emulators" for porn..I mean emulators

Is it possible for it to read folders not created by the wiz?

Ah, there you go. I assumed for simplicity's sake that everyone will put their games and emulators in "game". I'll make an option for the scanner to look everywhere on the SD card sometime in the near future then. :)

I didn't even know the wiz made folders till like a week ago lol. I made the folders I needed put them in than wallah. Then I went to put more files onto the card and noticed folders I never made appear lol.

maybe I'll just put it all into a "game" folder then have the seperate game folders in there.
