Just launched a campaign to fund a sweet looking fps for the dc. The base goal seems reasonable.

I've followed their youtube channel for a while now, haven't gotten any updates so I thought they had given up. But apparently not. Apparently the 70,000 stretch goal is needed to release the engine, I wish they would do that no matter what but maybe they just can't :p Impressive seeing such 3D visuals on a homebrew game for the Dreamcast. Usually homebrew games are 2D titles and not 3D.

Yes. a 3d game. The dc scene has exploded recently, so many games, and 4 of them are 3d. Peoples love for the dc literally keeps it alive. It makes me happy. As its my favourite console system.

Sooo wish Sega would do something with the original DC hardware.

Maybe they could start selling game cases to raise funds, those original cases for DC games broke so easily must be thousands of people willing to buy new ones ;)

That was Sega of Europe's idea. I forget what American Dreamcast games looked like (I had a copy of Q3A on a US disc so I could modify the dial-up settings in the days before Dreamkey 3 came out here), and I think Japanese games just came in normal CD jewel cases.

But yeah, those European cases. I guess they looked quite spiffy back in '99, but you'd better hope nobody between you and your customer doesn't drop the thing because however many layers of bubble wrap you wrap it in, the inertia of that disc in freefall will break through those clips that hold the disc in once it hits the floor. And if anyone opens the case without absolute care will snap off those hinge clips in an instant.

Yeah I've bought European Dreamcast games bran new still in shrink wrap and when I open them a small pice of plastic falls out. You would think after the disastrous design that was the European Saturn game cases that Sega of Europe would play it safe, but nope xD

Yup. The pal dc cases are awful. The hinges snap when you open it. so many of my pal games are like this.
Henshin engine is another recently funded dc game. I will back this before the campaign ends.

Am I the only one who is more excited about the engine rather then the game?
