That, my dear sir, is already the case for about 10 years, at least in my part of Europe.
I do not dislike americans at all (ok, there are many points that I find quite disturbing about racism, speciecism, sexism, drug abuse, weapon use, eating habits, etc...),
but the government is a terrorist state for me and not only for me. I hate my own government for going to war for them, but at least I vote against these parties every time out of many reasons.
Regarding the learning process:
I do not know, if we needed the national socialist party and it's atrocities to become a modern and (admittedly sometimes over the top) tolerant state like we are today,
but it may as well be so. On the other hand, not many people in America seem to feel guilty because of the hundreds of systematically destroyed native american tribes
and racism there is still quite a big problem, after hundreds of years. Remember: A whole continent has been wiped out there through genocide in maybe the largest scale in history.
You do not neccessarily learn from your mistakes, Putins russia is another example. It's not as far away from Stalin as it should be
and it is nearly the same with China and Mao...
Nations are not persons that are evolving in a few decades and humans have the same problems with their sins (greed f.e.) since lots of thousands of years and many more to come.
People are prone to forgetfulness, I'm afraid. As long as the current politicians make up big lies about how they are going to change things around, people would take their trash at face value.
May be we are not learning as fast as we would like, but the world is getting better. The internet has brought people all over the world closer, so it will become harder and harder to demonize other races. (even though some country like the DPRK do exist)
Most of the German I know are very polite and efficient people, I think the only reason Nazi exist in the first place is because people back then are not civilized as they are today.
I don't think America will stay its way forever. One country can't live on terrorizing others forever. It needs to stay competitive in a commercial sense. Sure America is trying every tricks it can to maintain US dollar's dominating position, it has disappointed many for one too many times.
I like Russians, and I would agree that the Russian government is still a bit too right winged, but at least they are not starting wars all over the world and they provided shelters for Snowden.
To me, if my history classes have taught me anything, is forcing the way you think is good onto others rarely will create a better situation. (My own country Australia is guilty of this)
Some times people are like that is because they have to stay that way to survive. May be Russia and China can only provide so much to their people, so they have to live with what they got.
Back to the original topic, Pandora is a niche product, and may not be readily accepted by the majority. Even though to me, only names like pandora 3d, pandora HD make any business sense, it seems like they are more intelligent than blindly buying anything named pandora and are promised to be better. A poetic name can be somewhat appreciable, making it simple and stupid may work even better.
Names like OpenAthena can be linked to openpandora easily and it's somewhat a good representation of pandora's endless possibility.
We can be a bit lazier and call it Project Apollo, or the note O.
My understanding of the indie market is that, hipsters and geeks do not care that much about the name of things they buy. We don't need to make up pretty words like what sony is doing, and we don't need to make the name so straight forward that it becomes an insult to its owner's intelligent. (Iphone, Ipad, Ipod and such)
That's not to say we can call p2 Project Apollo: code openAthena. That's over doing it.
