Issues were mostly all first run problems. The edition get you get from LS will be the same as are being sent out now. The *only* change might (and its a big might) be an alternate joystick cap, which will cost you about a pound if they do make oneMechRocket posted on Dec 25 2005 at 07:53 AM said:• Practically many videos are not playable without capping them.[fixed]
• There are reports of Xvid playing too fast, and DivX sound not in sync with video.[fixed]
• There is a battery problem, 2 hours battery-life with standard batteries only.[fixed - just dont use crappy alcaline]
• There is no power supply or charger included with the GP2X.[adapter can be picked up anywhere/keeps costs down]
• Stereo jack sinks on some units, because of poor soldering.[fixed-first edition only]
• The speakers are mono instead of stereo.[fixed]
• Headphone channels are switched, left is not left.[fixed]
• The action buttons are too small. Your thumb can cover all four.[bull! and I have big fingers!]
• There is a large joystick deadzone (that can be fixed with a "mod" according to a distributor).[cant/wont be fixed since its nothing that can be altered except with the hardware mod suggested - deadzone is exagerated anyway]
• Uneven color distribution on the screen and other LCD problems.[fixed]
• Long boot time (28 seconds).[will be fixed, not a big issue]
• Compatibility problems with some brands, types or sizes of Flash Cards.[fixed]
• USB Connection and incompatibility problems with Windows XP (apparently fixed with latest Firmware).
