How Do I Install The Usb Drivers From A Download?

Yep, tried that. when I go onto connect on he GP32, I get a connection error and Windows says the device is corrupted. It also says it can't find any drivers.

thats ok!
That is because the gp2x doesn't send a dhcp reply.
Just double click on the network icon that appears when you plug in the gp2x and configure the ip address manually.

I think they are talking about the GP32. IP Address and DHCP have nothing to do with connecting the GP32 via the USB port.

ooops.
in that case, just use gpdrive.
The reason he needs to connect it is to install Freelauncher, so gpdrive's not an option.

Ideally it would be good if you could find a non-XP machine just so you can transfer over the freelauncher. Then you could just use a card reader or gpdrive for everything else.

I'm sorry for putting you through all of this... My dad opened up the GP32 and found out that the USB socket had short circuited. Damn.
