It was a resistor.
So. Pandora reminded me that I played a lot of games as a kid, many DOS ones. I already found one again, Overkill. (Skyroads I never forgot. Ooh, now I remember the tilting maze game, Maze. Whoa flashbacks. ...To get back to the point
But there still is one game I'd like to play again. As I mentioned, it's a breakout clone.
Of course it's futuristic, space age. It offered both single player and two-player games. Don't remember if it was cooperative or competitive.
The ball would hit the blocks (with special blocks of course, that would take two shots to break or were indestructible) which would explode in a nice circle of blue diamonds. You would collect them and at the end of the level you'd sell them to buy power-ups. They were described as 'this is the stuff dreams are made of', or something similar. The power-ups you could buy were mostly weapons and additional balls and lives.
Power-ups fell from some broken blocks as well.
I remember playing the demo or shareware version, as some power-ups were unavailable.
So. Any ideas?
