Hi guys,

maybe I should have posted this here before, but I've released (tagged as beta) a port of the "Hatari" emulator under the name "Hatari SL".

This port can use the OMAP SDL video driver to get double buffering, vsync and hardware scaling. This allows to get nice fullscreen demos and games.

You can find it on the Pandora's repository. Any feedback is welcome.

Have fun !
SLiX.

FWIW, it's here: https://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=hatari.slix

Is this meant to run faster or better than the hatari emulator I'm currently using which is this one by Magic Sam? The repo for hatari seems surprisingly busy for such an established emulator, but this version seems to be based on the v2.1.0 codedrop like magic sam's release also, so I guess the only differences will be down to your porting approach.

But thanks for continuing to develop for the Pandora. Unfortunately mine is out of action at the moment, so I can't test your release myself, but my have my respect for supporting those of us who are still using theirs.

Thanks for the link, I tried to put it in my post but it was refused, maybe because this was my first post or some other rule...

This release should not be faster than the Magic Sam one (there is no special code optimization or compilation options for that). But the added code to handle the OMAP SDL video driver can give a better experience when running games and demos because they can be run fullscreen (hardware scaling) and without tearings (double buffering and vsync) if the emulator speed is sufficient (which is the case most of the time on my 1 Ghz Pandora).

Ah yeah, I think there's a five post limit or something below which you can't post a link. It would be nice if we could relax that rule for people trying to link to the repo, because I can't really see a way that could be abused.

We get quite a bit of spammer accounts created everyday, most of the time they just add spam links to their profile page, but sometimes they make a posts, I suppose it may prevent a bit of spam posts.
