Hi
Finally i had done and published my first *.dbp package for the Pyra...look here at repo to download

It's the game Halloween 3D from Jadeware https://jadegame.com/games/halloween/ that recently was open sourced by the author (thanks @Brizzly27 ).

title_halloween.png

The game engine was coded for Windows and MacOS only initially and when the sources where released to github https://github.com/brizzly/Halloween3D
the user @gbudny asked to port to Linux (and Pyra & Pandora).
So i started converting the code and after some weeks and the precious work done by @Pocak and
@ptitSeb we have reached the goal to have the game completely playable on Linux and now on Pyra.

The game run in fullscreen 1280*720 with the help of GL4ES library developed by ptitSeb and also use the Bass library.

At start it copy the game files to appdata/halloween3d directory on the sdcard (it takes a while...so please be patient).
It is strongly adviced to use a fast SD Card formatted with ext3 or 4 for better performance (on a fat32 one copying datas and launching the game was more slow...but then the game runs ok)

I have adapted the controls for what i think is ok playing (let me know...) so i switched the nubs
(the right one moves the camera and DPAD moves up/down and strafe left/right, the left nub is mouse buttons)
the right lower shoulder button is for shoot,
the left lower shoulder activate the console
X = action;
B= crouch;
Y= jump;
ESC = during game go to menu where you could restart or quit.

0 (zero) is taking screenshots (unfortunately the screen seems not done correctly on Pyra...on Linux is ok...they suffering of a blue plague...)

So thanks again to @Brizzly27 for releasing the source of this nice shooter....and enjoy the game!

Thanks
For HydraCastleLabyrinth for example, I used this
Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0.3.02
Type=Application
Categories=Game;ActionGame;
Name=Hydra Castle Labyrinth
Comment=Hydra Castle Labyrinth
Exec=hydracastlelabyrinth.sh
Icon=hydracastlelabyrinth.png
Terminal=false
StartupNotify=false
X-DBP-Screenshot=preview01.png

[Package Entry]
Id=hydracastlelabyrinth
Arch=armhf
Exec=hydracastlelabyrinth.sh
Name=Hydra Castle Labyrinth
Version=1.0.3.02
Icon=hydracastlelabyrinth.png
Dependency[deb]=libsdl2-2.0-0;libsdl2-mixer-2.0-0;

(look at the "Categories" line)

Hi all :)

@Farox and all involved: thank you very much for this one, really appreciated !

I confirm the game runs well on my Pyra with an F2FS SD card.

EDIT: @Farox could you please share your recipe for making DBPs (in a separate thread or via PM, as you prefer) ?

Cheers, Magic Sam

Well i'm not the best person to show this...but i could try.
(look at the "Categories" line)
Well my desktop file is

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0.0.01
Type=Application
Categories=Game;Shooter;
Name=Halloween 3D
Comment=Halloween 3D a Free Crazy FPS with OpenSource Game Engine
Exec=halloween3d.sh
Icon=h3d.png
Terminal=false
StartupNotify=false

[Package Entry]
Id=farox_halloween3d
Arch=armhf
Exec=halloween3d.sh
Name=Halloween 3D
Appdata=halloween3d
Version=1.0.0.01
Icon=h3d.png
Dependency[deb]=libsdl1.2pyra;

But it didn't work good...it create two entry in "games" and another in "other"...
When i changed to Game;ActionGame;
it correctly show only one voice on the menu under Games....maybe "Shooter" is a category not implemented ?

I'll update on the repo...with ActionGame

Ok uploaded a new revision with the fixes to default.desktop.
Now the game appears under Game--ActionGame on the menu.
