This is my favourite terminal emulator for Linux. To bring it up, press F12. Click off the screen to remove. Is there anyway for anyone to port this? I'd love to have this installed in my OS as a permanent fixture. https://github.com/bearnik/terminology-guake

It would make a great permanent fixture to SZ 1.5x... Fn+F12 for a terminal anywhere!!

How do I compile from source on Pandora?

In the download page, they have *.tar.gz with source. But I don't think OP has required tools?

TTTHHAAANNK YOU!

Will see how I go, and hopefully I can get Guake running - Id like an anywhere and everywhere terminal!

Damn.... Missing Python-VTE library..

I can't find, or build from source. Errors out.

Are there anymore Pandora Porting Tutorials around?

Hmmm....

Missing another lib/dependency. Seems like too much work on a small device with no repo.

I'm going to look at how to use a cross compiler on my Linux box...

Ill be back!

Well, cross-compile is nice, but you will stiil need to compile all dependancies yourself, because the "repo" on you linux distribution will be for x86, not for for Arm.

Maybe I bit off more than I could chew... I think I have to give up (for awhile).

Followed these:

http://pandorawiki.org/Setting_up_a_cross-compiler

http://blogs.distant-earth.com/wp/?p=109

Tried all different combos and setup's... Keeps failing.

Had similar probs with the old N900.

But I was able to get a kernel to compile for Pandaboard (Dualcore A9).

and my outcome was (terminal):

Jason-i7-VM Code # arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi-gcc DisplayImage.c -o DisplayImage -l SDL

bash: /usr/local/angstrom/arm/bin/arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi-gcc: No such file or directory
