You guys have been making such a big deal about this CD making accusations that craigix is a poor bussiness man and that its your legal obligation to receive what hes advertised rather than just going into the file archive and downloading 6MB of files! I think fair for me to be very p*ssed off that you have delayed my delivery until the beginning of next week to be honest.

As far as petrol bombing you house do you really take everything people say on a forum that seriously... Im a 22 year old bussiness man myself so I know what craigix has to put up with everyday. As far as complaining about GBAX or Craigix so far there is there is nothing to complain about, thats my whole point! And in any case if I were going to complain Id do it over the phone to him directly not on here.
Please re-read the posts, we were just asking where the cd was, i was out of the country the last few weeks, havent been to this forum, i thought when the GPX2 (jesus i keep doing that, i mean the GP2X) was released there would be a bunch of software which came with it. After reading the forums today i realise this isnt the case but deep down i was hoping that the first batch of these machines would come with a cd full of stuff to put on it that was all.

People here have overreacted, people who had their GP2X today simply were asking wheres the cd or case, i'm not that upset by it but obviously would just like to know why. If i have a problem with something if i get an answer then i'll be happy. Its human nature, once people get a response whether good/bad they will be on the whole satisfied.

And you really believe Craig is going to burn 1000 cd's because of that and delay shipping ? I cant see it happening. My delivery of the GP2X was delayed because of Gamepark Holdings, i didnt go crazy and curse them and threaten to firebomb them did i ?

And as for petrol bombing you do understand in todays world thats not very funny ? What next ? Saying to a check in operator at an airport you have a bomb in your bag as a joke ? I thought you would be around 18-22 years old judging by your behaviour. Re-read the posts, none of us were cursing at Craig, we just wanted some answers that was all. Lots of times newbies have come to this forum for simple answers and have been flamed by people. I go to a lot of retro events and talk to a lot of retro people and the general feeling is that the Gp32 community is full of kids talking trash and this thread just confirms that.

We werent complaining, we were simply asking what had happened to them thats all. But to overreact how you did, thats just crazy. I could easily talk to the police regarding that threat, i could go to the local paper where my friend is a reporter and get a story reported about how me and my wife were threatened by someone called 'Ninja' who was talking about firebombing my house.

As they say arguing on the internet is like winning at the special olympics, even if you win youre still retarded. (Not very PC i know). I dont take things seriously when i know that person is joking, eg putting a ;-) but when someone is clearly angry and says something like you did i dont find that funny at all. The worlds a f*cked up place because of people with short tempers like yourself. Act how you would in real life, stop being some big mouthed idiot threatening people how you have been.

We all love the GP32 and GP2X here, lets stop flying off the handle the minute someone disagrees or takes something the wrong way from someone. Thats the problem with forums, people cant easily judge the tone, just like you said we shouldnt take your 'threat' so seriously on the other hand realise we arent angry as hell about any minor quibbles about the GP2X and we're just asking on a forum about it, thats one use of a forum, to be able to ask others.

I did contact them straight away but no answer, so i spoke about it in the forum where i got a quicker response. No one here is slating Craig, he has done a HUGEEE amount for the GP32 scene, i wanted to support him by getting a GP2X from him not another company. I just wanted to check with others about the CD and stuff so i could work out whether there generally wasnt a cd or it was just my parcel i had this morning. The bag was a nice freebie , probably wont use it so i'll offer to give it to someone here for free who didnt get one. Now that i didnt have a cd which was normal and i realised from this thread why everything is fine.

Damn i have to stop replying to these threads, my fingers are not bloody stumps due to these long posts !

Agree with NeoStuey , lets get the boards back to a decent level. Whats happened today is why a lot of people cant be arsed with the GP32 scene and are put off by it as they see a lot of this crap going on amongst all of us at these forums. I know of at least 10 people who were interested in the GP32 but cant be bothered after witnessing in the past some of the bickering crap which goes on with the GP32 scene.

I find it very hypocritical that he is saying that we're moaning about our legal obligation (we werent) when Ninja in a previous post said..

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations of 2000 give a customer 7 days to return any item bought off of the internet or by mail order as long as the goods are in the same condition as when they were sent and all packaging is intact.
Good luck to Ninja as a young businessman but he wont get far in 'bussiness' if he cant even spell it.

The CDs not a problem for me. I am disappointed that I haven't been able to get the USB to work :( and I am very disappointed that the clear plastic cover wasn't pre installed. I cleaned up the screen perfectly and then at the last moment a 2-3 pixel sized bit of fluff stuck to the inside of the cover

Since this CD is almost empty, does anyone have maybe a public domain encoded movie we can include on it which plays on the gp2x?

Edit: by movie I don't mean something over an hour ;)
Edit: A nice bit of pornography. Under an hour should do :p

"re: headphones/cases ... while supplies last ... it's a freebee no need to shed tears. i have the ASR case and actually like it a lot!"

Don't you think this is a bit unfair comment to make? To me, it sounds like those millionaires saying money's not important. <_<

Actually I don't think bad spelling is going to preclude you from running a business
True, but being immature, throwing un-founded comments around and threatening people sure as shit do

Anyway, like someone else said, lets drop it like 3rd period French

:)

Its really nice, really really nice. I have it next to my GP32 now at it looks so much better. Considering I was concerned about start up times, it not bad at all.

The big difference I can see between the GP32 and GPX2 isn't the speed of the chip, linux, extra buttons or any of that stuff. The GP2X looks the money. This device is going to be big in a little way.

The thing that has surpised me the most is the joystick-button, Its really good, that is going to be useful(famous last words), as a little touch its belting.

Well if someone didnt get a case and wants one then i'll send them mine as i wont use it. Never had one for the GP32 and it was fine, the case is a nice freebie.

(Saying that i'll probably get tons of scratches on it in the future !)

Ok I admit i over reacted. If you actually read what led up to my post rather than reading it out of context like "not_simple_si" obviously did (The delay would have been soley because of the CD nothing else) then I dont think I was completly out of order.

If you read my previous posts since I registered on this forum you will realise Ive always been helpful to people and i dont flame anyone even when they ask stupid questions but people moaning about a CD with nothing on it was pointless especially since now the same people have done a complete U-turn on what they said previously.

By the way I never got a PM about a dojo in Salford but i really dont think its a good idea to be offering for your instructor to fight for you... I'm suprised people took my post so seriously to be honest like I expected anyone to send me their home address.

Anyway I apologise, not because of what anyone else said but because I realise it could give new people the wrong impression of the people on here especially me.

No worries, easy to misunderstand people when its online.

If we were all in a pub then by peoples tones etc you'll realise when people are joking or not so serious about things.

Anyway hope you get your GP2X soon. If you dont get a bag let me know and you can have mine.

The thought of connecting it to my TV and playing emulators, god damn thats gonna be the best ! I was going to get a Dreamcast just to play emu's on my TV but the GP2X will be brilliant if that all works well.

As others have said, cheers to Craig.

Well I thought I had sent one

It was in Stockport

Its not a Dojo (not a Japanese system)

John wasn't going to do shit, im just not posting my home address on here. He could arrange an introudcution but there will be no fighting (unless you really want too ;) )

Im happy with the service from Craig (cheers). He works hard and as far as I know hes the only UK distributor. GPH havnt got a target audience the size of Sony or Nintendo, or the capital, and have only the success of gp32 to gauge future success of such products as these. If the gp2x was on par with the PSP in all respects (budget, investors, game company sponsors, media hype etc), then it would probably have little to no problems. I dont expect the earth with products like these thats what makes them different, a product thats out of the publics eye compared to PSP, GBA and is down to us what we do with it. A voyage of discovery, constant evolution and discussion, and we dont have to pay £20 quid for an old movie on a tiny disc ala psp and be subject to high prices to get use out of it.

Only my opinion and everyone has the right to voice their concerns. I personally thank you Craig and I didnt even read the box contents, I just pre-ordered as soon as I read the pre-order post on here.

Do you want me to actually send you a CD with 780k Quake GPE on it?
I think, Craig, you can avoid the whole complains about lack of CDs by just removing the cd being included phrase on your website. As long as it's up there, there will be someone asking "where is the cd?" So is the SDK and others.

Am I the only one with lines going across the screen where there are big contrast changes like white video loading on black screen. It makes lines appear sideways at the top and the bottom of the loading image. I dont mean the vertical line down the middle which shouldve been fixed in the newest fw which I have too anyway
