GP32 Powersupply

YOUR AUSSIE GP32 GURU!!!!!!!!&#3
I know the gp32 needs 3v but how many milliamps can it take?

I got a 3v 500mA adapter but i remember seeing that 300mA was being used just wondering if 500 is 2 much?

The GP32 will only draw how much power it needs. I use a 3v 1200 mAmp car adapter which has worked fine for about 4 months now.

The gp32 draws the needed mA from batteries but a wall powersupply outputs the set amount so it wont just draw the needed power but if your running it over 1amp i dont think thats a good idea.

The gp32 only needs a very small amount of power thats why it last ages on 2AA batteries :)

But i think 500mA is ok for it thx

As an electronics technician, I can say with absolute certainty that it won't blow up (at least not because of a higher amp rating). Generalmx was right. The device will only draw as much current as it needs.

You will only have a problem if the power supply has a LOWER amp rating than the device you're trying to power.
