Hey Guys,

I have a possibly cunning idea (cue Madscientist laugh) Mwah hah hah...

Does anyone think the 2X will accept a CR-V3 Li-Ion battery (essentially a rechargeable Litihium battery in the shape of 2 AA's side by side) they are normally used for digital cameras and have around 3000maH but are still 3v.

Unless there is a particularly strange shape to the batt compartment I don't see why not

Maplin rechargeable CR-V3

Try a forum search, this has already been discussed. I think somebody may have tried it already.

Edit: Linkage.

Actually I'm not that sure if there isn't a voltage regulator inside gp2x...

For 3000mAh at 3V... it should have an energy capacity higher by 1/3 than 2500 mAh NiMH. Not bad.

There is a voltage booster/regulator... I don't think there's many digital devices that can run straight on the 2.2V to 3V that 2 AA's might provide.
