Just tried formating my two SanDisk SD cards using the GP2X's inbuilt format utility but got no results. It seemed to be working, but the files were all present & correct when I checked the cards.
Is the utility just to format new un-formated memory cards, or is something wrong?
Done a search but to no avail :(

One of the cards is 32 MB & the others 64MB.
***EDIT*** 2.0 firmware by the way.

Use a card reader, much more reliable, faster and doesn't eat batteries.

the inbuilt format is just to format the nand-memory (and lose your vektar/payback). you cannot format the sd with the inbuilt format tool.

It only formats the user nand though so you wont have damaged anything.
Nice to know cheers Anonymous.
It could be more helpfull if the call it Nand. When new user's see that, they will take it as being like the format function on a digital camera which formats the memory card.
I guess they have their reasons though?

***EDIT***
My bad.. just looked again & noticed that it say's NAND above it. What a moron! God knows how I missed that?
