same post twice, sorry
same post twice, sorry
Obviously it's his opinion, by virtue of the fact he said it. If you can't tell whose opinion it is, you are an idiot. Pointing out it was his own opinion would be redundant. The only time you need to point out whose opinion it is, is when it is somebody else's opinion.Well, the fact that he wrote it should be enough to point out it's his oppinion.
actually, if you dont say "in my opinion" its quite rude, because it looks like you speak for everyone else in the world
edit: crap double post, sorry
Wow, a lot of people complaing about the BBC. You should try TV here in the States, is positively sucks ass, and I doubt you'll find too many people that disagree with me. I do get a channel that carries BBC broadcasts, and I think it is probably one of the best channels I have, along with BBC online.
in the UK, upto 30 people are put in prison each year for not paying for the BBC, many 10's of thousands are fined upto £1000 with the majority being single parent families.
so please, enough of this BBC is wonderful shite. remember, while your enjoying your BBC, uk residents are forced to fund it, no if's or but's....

I don't like being forced to do anything, but until the country go's fully digital there's no way to get out of payin it.So your happy to force fund the BBC or face prison, while any other country on the planet can access the BBC for free (net) or for that matter across europe (sat and net).
v strange.
I'm surprised that after all these years, no one made a set top box to block out the BBC channels though!
That would mean everyone, including those without TVs or those with TVs but without an aerial, would have to pay for the BBC.About the BBC dilemma. If BBC is owned by the government, why does it not simply fund it by tax, and increase tax to cover it?
Surely that's your opinion, though. And because you haven't stated that it's your opinion, by your own rules you're being quite rude...actually, if you dont say "in my opinion" its quite rude, because it looks like you speak for everyone else in the world
If American TV is one of our largest "cultural" exports, it is no wonder that the rest of the world has such a low opinion of us. Well, that and everything else I suppose...
No sky tv is theft.
Bloody right Sky TV is theft, £35 a month for repeats of The Bill and Family Fortunes...

Just the price of ad-free TV, I guess.
It's not. It's empircally observed.Taras: heh, but that's just opinion too
Yes we do. Everybody pays tax.I'm sure some students dont have a TV either, but I doubt they pay tax.
No it isn't. It's like people who choose not to care for their teeth being forced to pay for other people's dental care.for the love of god. people without TVs? are you serious. That's like saying people without tooth brushes should be able to claim dental care.
Well i think it's just that icurafu doesnt understand the tv licensing fees.Yes we do. Everybody pays tax.I'm sure some students dont have a TV either, but I doubt they pay tax.
