I just got out my 2200 mah batteries from my gp32 to put them in my 2x. The top one goes in but its a little stiff. Bottom one wont go in and made the gp2x make a cracking noise as i pushed it almost all the way in. They both fit in everything else I have I just tested (bar my 360 controller which they are very stiff but fit). So why the fuck is the gp2x's battery slots smaller (especially the bottom one) than all others? No matter where I put my hand to apply pressure The plastic made snapping noises and was under a lot of pressure and it wot fit. This is fucking annoying! I think I might send mine back as I have only found 1 pair of batteries that bloody fits the god damned thing!

well, aas vary in size, my rechargeables also only barely fit, but others even reported that thairs fall out.
quick solution for the size problem is to CAREFULLY knock the battery with a hammer on the top, i once had to do that to get aaa batterys in a lighter.

i thought AA's were an industry standard size heh damn companies

2500mah Energizer Rechargables fit perfectly and are cheap

seriously?, that sucks.

btw. batteries in your lighter?, buy a zippo, also great for playing with if you have nothing to do :).

Check to make sure all is right with the battery terminals, it is possible the back of your case is on wrong, or the terminals are stuck.

AA batteries are a standard, but rechargables take all the space they can, and then some, as well as some cheap companies don't have stringent enough quality control and release off-size batteries.

Which version do you have (out of curiosity, use the test menu, it will tell you the date of the run that your GP2X came out of).

Odd, my Panasonic 1600mAh batteries (great running time, btw, about 3-4 hours usually) are actually smaller than most disposables I've tried. The ones that came with the unit I had to squeeze in, but the Panasonic rechargables fit in really naturally. Heh.

I originally had trouble getting my energizer 2500's to fit in, but now, after replacing them a couple times, they slide in and out fine.

The battery compartments are pretty tight, it only takes a battery 1-2mm oversized to make it hard to get in. It's one of the problems people will have if they want to use li- AAs or CRV3's

the only batteries that are tight in my gp2x are those duracell coppertops. My Targus 2200 mah batteries just slip in easily.

I have the opersite, My 2200's are to small to make contact, the + termal's "head" isnt long enough to touch the connector, had problems with those batteries in other devices too.
