You can set up a CDC USB network connection through the Mini-USB port - it works without having the USB Host controller enabled, but the Host PC will be (slowly) charging the unit, anyways.

Might be a bit tricky with a Windows USB Host, though, Microsoft only supports their own RNDIS protocol, which is known to be very buggy on XP and since Vista you even need to install the driver yourself.
I have checked your brillant idea. The otg sounds actually a good idea.

The problem is that all usb to rj45 are usb2.0 type, and not usb 1.0 ...

Are you referring to the others or did you just got my post wrong? CDC USB network means you take a simple mini USB cable that you surely already have laying around somewhere and use it like you would want to use the SD mass storage mode. If you enabled that the usbnet module is being loaded at startup, the PC will automagically detect it as a CDC (or on Windows: RNDIS) device and you can set up a network bridge via the USB cable - however, it only works as long as the SD mass storage mode is not being used. See for example this thread.

Additionally, the OTG port is USB 2.0 as well, but it does not provide as much power as a real USB 2.0 port.

port | USB version(s) | current available
----------+---------------------+------------------------
fullUSB | 2.0 | 500mA
miniUSB | 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 | 100mAAttempting to use USB1.x devices in the Pandora's fullUSB port will crash the software controlling it, because the Pandora lacks a built-in USB hub.
Technically, I should talk about low speed, highspeed, fullspeed and superspeed, but that's more confusing than just using numbers!
