just means:

"Can you speak German, I have a question."

I wrote him a Message if he could send me the question(That was the mail I send to you by mistake).I think he's offline. I can try to translate the question for you, ingeras when hes online and send me the question, ok? :)

I have a somewhat limited understanding of the German langauge (I am partway into my second year of German study at my highschool). Let me know if I got the translation right:

"I am from Switzerland and know myself upon the matter of Movie Converter Player Installation."

Or, as I would translate it in good english:

"I'm from Switzerland, and I know about the Movie-Converter-Player Installation."

Let me know if I got this wrong, the word "sachen" kind of confused me so I may have gotten an entirely different meaning than what was intended.

Sachen means stuff.

in german it's an other expression for "i know things about it"

in this case, he knows a few things about convert a movie or install games.

so your translation is right...

just sachen does not mean "i know things about it" *playingteacher* ^^
"in sachen" could be translated with about
"ich kenne mich aus in sachen" with "i'm into" or "i know about"

hope i didnt say anything that noone wants to know :p
