Whoo hooo... This is the update I was hoping for from the DEV's.
Now we know the full state of play for the firmware.
I would say the reason people aren't getting to worked up over suspend/hibernate, is that the silkscreen and button layout etc are hardware. Once it's done that's pretty much it, where with the software side it can be worked on, even after release.
(My view) It's just about people knowing what their getting prior to actually opening their parcel.
Maybe a hotkey, or even the lid sensor can be setup to turn off the lcd and throttle down the processor. This would really bump up battery life when not in use, and may be a nice simple stop gap?
Pangea - I'm really interested in this as well efegea, so it would be nice if you don't give up on it yet unless you have specific reasons for not wanting to continue with it.
