There's only around 30 or so registered in Australia
Really? That many? There are only 12 in Canada. I almost brought in a 13th, but then the auction fell through. :(

Nope, Eo is right. In the film, the unit used is "jigawatts". "Gigawatt" is pronounced with a hard 'G'.
Nope, I'm right. Christopher Lloyd was told the incorrect pronounciation. He uses a soft g, but it was spelled gigawatt in the script. There's no such thing as a jigawatt.

I don't think Eo was trying to be correct. If he had said "1.21 Gigawatts", he would have been less effective at putting the image of Doc Brown pulling his hair out in my head, because Lloyd doesn't pronounce it correctly.

My copy of the M-W dictionary lists both pronunciations under that same spelling. Though the normal pronunciation is listed as the "preferred"

I love that this forum is nerdy enough in that special way that a photo of a DeLorean gets more interest than a photo of a girl.
Girls are nice, of course, but they're hardly rare. I can't remember the last time I saw a DMC.

The world needs more cars with Gull-wing doors.

I wonder if I could get a conversion kit for my Hyundai.
