Wouldn't think-tanks be better off for any country rather than a bunch of so-called government bodies that grunt and heckle when a slanging match between different parties.
So you actually prefer a totalitarian oppressive government or dictatorship?Javacat posted on May 28 2009 at 05:44 PM said:I don't vote. Democracy sucks.
I dunno. Maybe it's the reptilian overlords plan to cause anarchy so a truly totalitarian regime can be brought in. :mellow:rabbits with hats posted on May 29 2009 at 02:42 AM said:yeah they've screwed us up pretty bad lol
Its all Gordon Browns fault
If only we realised then what we know about how unstable the sand was on which he built his budgets
Let's not forget which liar preceded him!
And who was it exactly who lifted the cap on MP's expenses payments that caused the current media hype?
<_<
The Greens are about more than being eco-friendly (although obviously that's one of their major policies). They're socialists, by and large, and they have the most socialist policies of any major party. Are they ready to govern? I couldn't say, but they couldn't do a much worse job than Labour have.Goity posted on May 29 2009 at 01:18 AM said:I think the name alone shows how much of a one track party they are, not ready to govern themselves out of a recycled paper bag.

Don't have time to explain now, but if this thread is still going in a few days then I might say whyMark1970 posted on May 29 2009 at 08:30 AM said:So you actually prefer a totalitarian oppressive government or dictatorship?Javacat posted on May 28 2009 at 05:44 PM said:I don't vote. Ehh... whatever. I'm voting for some minor party that supports direct democracy.. Right-wing has basically become an insult over here.
I guess I'll have to settle for not voting until they get that magic crystal ball working.lulzfish posted on May 31 2009 at 12:42 AM said:Democracy favors elected officials who are popular, not necessarily qualified or good.
I'm holding out for a magical telekinetic device that can predict the best possible policies and replace the human factor in leading and voting.
This is a nondescript word ... it literally means nothing , for all you know a progressive party could be quickly progressing in the direction of hell …in which case I would rather stay conservative.DaveC posted on May 29 2009 at 12:32 AM said:As a Yank I don't know all of these. Just out of curiosity which ones are liberal and which conservative?
In the US the Democrats are more progressive
