Hi there, I have encoded numerous video clips before, I know my way around VirtualDub pretty well.

I am having a problem now though, when I encode my clip, the horizontal lines are not lined up properly, it's like the next line is starting too early, so I get crazy stairstep distortion and the video is completely unviewable. (However it plays perfectly on my PC, just not with GPCine)

I'm using Divx 4.1, I know this one has worked just fine for me before. My target is 320x184, 15fps, I have tried experimenting a lot with different resolutions (eg 320x160), framerates, and bitrates, nothing is helping.

Any ideas?

320*172
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a shot when I get home.

But.. what is so special about 320x172? I have encoded at many other resolutions, including 320x160, 320x162, 320x164, 320x176, etc, and they always worked fine before. I thought as long as the width is a multiple of 8 (or 4?) and the height is a multiple of 2 it was supposed to be fine?
