Which DVB cards work with the pandora? My Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950Q doesn't, so I was wondering if any did? I notice it has kernel modules for some, and firmware too.

Oh, and these are all the kernel modules loaded on my laptop, which the card works on:

The only one related to DVB that seems to be missing on the Pandora is au0828.

Did you download the firmware and put it into /lib/firmware ?

That's how you're supposed to get the Haupage WinTV Nova-T to work. I have that stick and it works with Linux, but I still wait for my Pandora so I have to rely on comments by others ;)

I did add the firmware. I think some of the kernel modules are missing. I wish someone would port V4L-DVB(All the DVB drivers) .

You should run lsusb on your laptop or pandora so we know what chipset that stick has.

OK! I'll do that now.

How does this tell you? Is it the USB ID?

Code:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 2040:7200 Hauppauge

I had a quick look, it looks like our 2.6.27 kernel is too old for these drivers to compile, or at least it takes much effort to do so. You'll have to wait for kernel upgrade, which might happen when units start to ship from Germany. Or you can experiment with latest kernels yourself, they have some pandora support.

I have a WinTV-HVR-1950 and I've got that to work with that very same kernel version on Fedora 10, If I recall I only had to copy the firmware to the appropriate directory.. Once my Pandora is back from the land of Dragons I'll give it a try.

Oh, I was checking latest linux-media, but I see it's already there in .27 .

I've built au0828.ko (I assume that's the missing part), but it doesn't insmod due to modversion checks, you'll need to wait for next hotfix build.
