I currently own 2 GP2X MKIIs and a Wiz. I mainly use them for GBA and SNES games, but what I really want in a handheld the most is portability and long-lasting reliability. Also, a handheld that can smoothly and effectively play Golden Sun 1 & 2 without crashing.
The GP2X is pretty solid, and I don't need to worry about replacing lithium ion batteries in the long run because I can just easily pop out old AAs and replace with new ones. Taking it everywhere I go on the otherhand, is a pain as it barely fits in my pocket.
The Wiz is great in terms of portability and emulation, and the touch-screen is a nice addition. I'm just worried about about long-term usage, since hardly anyone makes Wiz replacement batteries anymore, as well as the accursed screen-rot issues I've heard so much about, though it hasn't happened to me so far.
As far as GPH handhelds goes, I've seen that even to this day, the software and support is still alive and kicking. With the Dingoo handhelds, I see the same thing, even for a "Made in China" product.
Which is why I'm considering buying the Dingoo A320, in terms of size and support for it. I see at least 20 posts for dingoo battery replacements every day on eBay, as well as other replacement parts. My only gripe about it are its build quality, as I've heard about a lot of people complain about it breaking after even a 3-foot drop.
Don't even get me started on the Dingoo A330.
As for the Gemei A330, I just think that handheld looks dead sexy. Though I heard the native OS is crap, I believe people have already got Dingux on it. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I've seen that the Gemei A330 also has built-in wifi, compared to the Wiz and Caanoo which require a dongle. If that's true, would people be able play multiplayer games via emulators? Like, 2-3 player co-op on Secret of Mana (SNES) or playing against a friend on Pokemon Fire Red (GBA)?
