Different Output On Lcd And Tv Out, Possible?

Surely if you've got a retail adapter that doesn't work, you've just got a faulty product?
If svideo-to-composite requires a capacitor, it would be pointless to sell an adapter without one as it would never work.

In that case it's either broken, or your trying to send a 60Hz signal to a TV which doesn't fully support 60Hz.

i actually did this, i used a ps2 mouse cable (its the same size plug, just two of the pins aren't used and fit inside the area that the little plastic tab usually goes), and desoldered one of those capacitors from something or other... an old tapedeck i think. anyway tho, the site has some pretty serious spelling errors, but gives some good info on reasons why conversion cables might not work.
