What does Craig do with the 166 mhz version and do I have to buy that version if I want to play Snes games with a resonable speed and sound?

Or can I do the same things with the "standard" version?

I believe Craig does nothing except test the speed of the 166Mhz GP32s and no, you do not necessarily need a 166Mhz version for good speed and sound with SNES games, though IMHO it is recommended but keep in mind that it is probably only useful for a few apps including OSnes9x, GPCinema and FGen32.

Craig has posted previously on this subject - he performs a voltage mod on the GP32 which guarantees at least 166mHz.

They are only modded if they need to be - 60% of GP32's will goto 166mhz, even more will run and crash after 20mins or so, we do some damned good testing on them.

I am looking for more people who are willing to mod them as we are having trouble keeping up with orders, ideally in the north east.
