GP32 Design your own GP32

a clamshell design means the unit would be probably be thicker and probably more expensive to produce. Also im just so used the the gamegear design for handhelds - ive never liked the classic gameboy/ gameboy sp style. Think about it - why are joypads roughly shaped like a gamegear/lynx/gba/ngage/zodiac with the two sets of buttons spread apart and not really close together like a gb or gba sp? its because its more comfortable to use like that and feels more intuitive imo.

ok its a bit of a wobbly arguement but dammit the gamegear and all the other handhelds that followed it basic design just feel "right".

What about the normal GP32 + 24MB Ram + Another ARM 9 + FW and button that would let you use 2 original GP32 games at once, or a GP*whatever* game that uses both processors as one? Mabye Li-Ion battrey, too cuz on AAs w/ FLU & 133MhZ that would prolly last 30min... And some other stuffs...

So:

Processor: 2 Arm9s
Memory: 32MB
Buttons: A, B, X, Y, L, R, Control Stick, Button to switch program on 2 mode
Battrey: 3V 3000MaH Li-Ion w/ some powerfull capacitors or something so you can switch battries w/o turning off
Height: Same as normal GP32
Width: Same as normal GP32
Thinckness: 1-2cm more than normal GP32
Storage Media: CF
Wirless: Built in Bluetooth
Expantion: USB (powered or unpowered, switch) & Special clip on thingy that you can clip on the bottom to add keyboard/wifi/another usb port...
Screen: LCD with 320x240res

That would be about $300 non-flu $350flu

Handheld multiprocessing? Too much bother.

CPU - latest X scale (400mhz I think)
Ram - 126-256, depending on model
Screen - 800 x 600 (or at least 640 x 480)
Storage - 128mb internal, CF slot with microdrive

Possibly:
Bluetooth
USB ports (as host)

multiprocessor systems are inefficient and dont actually give twice the power. not sure if the arm9 is even designed to be used in multi processor configuration. A scalable processor like the the intelliscale would probably be more power efficient and more flexable than two arm9's anyway.
