I know nothing about hardware assembly / electronics, but I find the idea of you lot coming up with a custom new homebrew handheld really exciting!

I'd be happy to come up with some case designs ;)

I don´t understand...
Are you planning to buy one of those to check out the layout to look what could be done?

Or dou you want to use the board in the actual handheld? I mean, it´s got all we need, perhaps more, but is too big (100x80 cm).
Maybe if we could order ~1000 of them they could build some smaller ones...

well its not that big...
but it has only 32mb ram.. (Standard, it can be upgraded)

A problem would be how to integrate the buttons and the D-pad, joystick on the board.

It could be used for development purposes - ie, to get a head start into developing for the system before the actual Ninja comes out :)

Also, development boards such as this usually come with schematics and the like, which would be ideal for helping us implement the same cpu and features (give us plenty of ideas & knowledge, etc).
