Anyone got a link to a cheap PSU which will power the cradle??

Also... what functions/devices will run without powering the unit?

Couldnt you just plug the regular power adapter into the GP2X?
Not to run the cradle, no... and to make matters worse, it needs a 3 amp slupply, much more than your average 'home' muti-way adaptor can provide....

To be fair, it only needs enough juice to run what you are going to shove into it. So just for a simple usb joystick you can probably get away with a 1.2A supply. I'm assuming here they ask for 3A because the 4 USB ports should be able to supply 500mA each (2A), but if you don't have anything sucking that amount of power, you shouldn't need such a beefy PSU.

Of course, this is GPH we are talking about however, so this may not be true...

But if you cant run the cradle with just the GP2X batteries, cant you just run it with a GP2X adapter?

I assume power-light things (mouse/keyboard) will work using a GP2X power adapter (or batteries) then, but higher powered things like Wi-Fi would not.
