I am curious, when you plug in the AC adaptor to the gp2x cradle, does that power the gp2x aswell so you don't need bateries, or do you need a seperate adaptor aswell for the gp2x.

I don't think that the cradle powers the unit, you still need a gp2x AC adapter or batteries to power the unit (go figure that one out)

edit: typo

Damn that sucks, I guess ill have to find 2 ac adapters when I buy my cradle.

Two AC adaptors is needed only for MK1 unit gp2x.
Gp2x Mk2 with AC adapter have needed to power cradle with two usb-sticks or/and 1-4 gamepads(tested myself).

I have a MK1 GP2X, a Cradle and 1 AC Adaptor.

I plug the AC adaptor into the GP2X, then the GP2X into the cradle. I then plug two USB joypads into the cradle.

My brother and I have played many two player games together with this set up, no problems.

SO the simple answer is - if you arnt using anything more power hungry than two USB joypads you only need one AC Adaptor.

So, trying to find the definitive answer on this question, reading this topic I conclude that:

- The cradle does not power the unit;
- The cradle CAN be powered by USB, if not too many USB devices are connected to it;
- The GP2x A/C adapter plugged on the in-the-cradle GP2x CAN power the cradle;

Is this it?
