After finally gettin my films encoding, i noticed that the sound is VERY crackly. I thought this was because i had lower sound quality but it sounds fine on my pc. Any way to fix this problem?

Hi,

This is not guaranteed to cure the problem, As i have not come across the problem you are having.

In VD, Go to the "audio" menu and select "conversion", Then click "High quality" in the top part of the window on the right hand side. Continue as normal.

As a side note, This does not add anything to the overall file size.

Hope this helps :) .

Be sure to put the sound on stereo. Tick stereo in conversion if your original movie is in mono. Then when you go in compression tick show all formats and then choose one format in stereo.

I encountered the same problem than you when I tried to encode a video which was mono. If you let it in mono the sound will be nice on pc but crackling on GP.

Hope it will solve your problem !

I'd try using a bit higher auido quality, like 24kbit or even 32, maybe that can help

Another thing that might cause this is the fact that GPcinema defaults to 100mhz, you have to change it to at least 133 to get a 320x240 12fps movie t play properly. This solved the problem for me anyway.

I've done all those things and still have crackly sound. :(
