Ok... I saw the GP2x thread & I have been loving my GP2x for years now. When someone showed a video of CPS2 running on a GP2X.

I watched some videos & the games running on CPS2 are late 90's games, Street Fighter 3, Street Figther Alpha, some modern beat em up & shootem ups? I am in shock the GP2x can handle these games????

Is a version of this Emulator possibility on the Pandora??? In an older thread I posted about mame on Pandora, I believe Craig commented himself saying Mame could not handle something like Street Fighter 3. But if the GP2X is doing it... the pandora should have no issues at all right? I cannot believe these games are playing on such basic hardware!

I am right now downloading it & going to try to get it set up for my GP2X!

Uh oh, don't get it twisted.

Street Fighter III is a CPS3 (Capcom Play System 3) game. Street Fighter Alpha 3 is a CPS2 game. The video you posted here is on SFA3, a CPS2 game. CPS2 emulation will DEFINITELY work on the Pandora (and the GP2X). CPS3 emulation DOES NOT work on the GP2X.

CPS3 emulation could probably work on the Pandora, but not through MAME. MAME does not emulate CPS3 games well. CPS3 games (like Street Fighter III) could probably work if someone ported FinalBurn Alpha to Pandora.

Copy & thanks for that...

So it should not be that difficult to get CPS2 running on the Pandora? Sorry, I am a not a newbee, but not a programmer either. It took me forever & a day to get my GP2x fully set up & running, but i have loved it ever since. But I JUST NOW found out about CPS2.

CPS2 emulation will work on Pandora. You can see Capcom Play System 2 games (like Street Fighter Alpha 3) working on the Pandora in this video...I'm guessing it's mame:

I'm gonna guess it's Squidge's FinalBurnAlpha port.

Well whatever the case, I just got really excited that the pandora is going to be able to run these later 90's capcom games. Some of my absolute favorites!

Playing DnD: TOD and/or DnD: SOM multiplayer over internet or local network would be pretty damn fun. Do any emulators support multiplayer in this way?

Kaillera provides multiplayer support for a lot of emulators, but it's closed source so I don't think we'll be seeing it on Pandora.
