I really like the sound of this and am considering buying, but are games like Master of Orion 2 available? What other PC classic strategy games are available?

Well it can be done with Dosbox if you have a DOS version of it..

2) Masters of Orion 2 is very playable in DosBox as well. Again I've set CPU Cycles to 9000 and have been very happy with the performance playing an old save game that had quite a bit going on. The biggest issue I had here was that trying to play this game at 640x480 on the screen it was a little hard to see everything that you needed since they crammed so much detail into the game, but it does play and you can definitely do this on the go. I'm going to play around with it a bit more and see if there are any tweaks to make it that much more playable.

DOS/PC emulation on the Pandora can be done for games in the high end 486/Low end pentium range.. However we have some native ports of Duke Nukem 3D, Classic ID games, Doom(s), Quakes(s), Heretic, Hexen(s) also some impressive games like Homeworld , Grim Fandango via ResidualVM... Curse of Monkey Island, Full Throttle via ScummVM

Check out the software repo for more applications..

Well, I do know that WINE does not work on Pandora, hence you can't emulate later-version PC games...for example, Peggle - but there is an Android version of that one that runs on Pandora. Qemu will run lower-version PC games, and, as mentioned above, there ARE some PC games that have direct ports.

Bottom line is...a lot of games you might want to play on WINE - which you can't on Pandora...often, there are other options for that same game...which WILL work on Pandora.

It would help for you to give us a total picture of everything you think you might want to do with the Pandora...and then we could tell you yes or no that you could do X or Y...and if any alternate options exist for what you want to do...for example, as mentioned, certain PC games. While you might not be able to play in the form you are looking for, alternative options may exist which wll allow you to do it on Pandora.

I know this is something of a non-answer - but it would help if you gave a fuller picture of what you are expecting the Pandora to do for you.

Didn't someone discover that Qemu'ing an x86 box, and using it to run wine on top of linux worked better than using it to run windows...?
