last night i put a password on my computer so my sister couldnt go on it a downloads all this shite from kazaa, but now i cant remember the password. im such a freakin idiot! so i come here to ask is there a way of removing the password with out acually loging on? like remove battery or sumthing?

...

If you are using XP, the only way I know it to log on as an admin and take it off...

How can you not remember it?

It must be something you have used at one time or another... or some generic word....

I assume you are using another computer? I will look into this... I feel your pain...

What? Is it written in 1337, like "1'm c001" , or binary, like "00100101010101"?

Something to that sort? That might not be too hard... the alternatives kind of suck...

Either use system restore to go back before the password was there... losing data... or using a password cracker that I personally have no idea how to use... and risk losing data...

Heres your answer, And it works.

http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

Just download the 2mb boot cd zip file, About 3/4 of the way down the page. Follow the instructions on the page, Or if its a standard xp pro install you have (ie, you never changed the layout of anything when xp was installed, Default folders etc) then just use the default options when you boot your computer with the cd.

EDIT: Typo`s

No, you can't ;)
Win XP is some kind of a secure system (well, only some kind ;))

Go to a friends house and create that boot disk.
