Since i recently flashed my unit, it is actually losing power whilst it's plugged in and on charge

The charger seems fine as Iv'e tested it with another device, removed & examined the battery and all seems well there too.. what else can i try & what is my next step if i can't remedy this myself..? (only 25% left)

Thanks.

EDIT:

Something seriously wrong, just removed & re-inserted the battery and the power has dropped by 15%

What on earth is going on..?

Tried charging with the USB? Is the charge light actually on when it's plugged in? Is it at least discharging slower? What is the output of "cat /sys/class/power_supply/bq27500-0/current_now"? It should be negative while discharging, between -250000 and -350000 or so, and positive while charging, up to 700000 depending on how far it is from full (the more discharged, the more energy the circuit tries to jam into the battery, tapering off as it fills up)

I've never tried charging via the usb, do you have to enable it? if the charge light should be red, then no it isn't on when the charger is plugged in & where do i find the power supply readings..?

Yes, the charge light should be red. Since it is not, then there is a major problem. No need to activate anything, just get a USB mini cable and plug it into your computer, or one of those USB wall charger things.

Open a terminal, and type

Code:
cat /sys/class/power_supply/bq27500-0/current_now

cat /sys/class/power_supply/twl_4030_bci_battery/enable

cat /sys/class/power_supply/twl_4030_bci_battery/online

Some more bizarre behaviour, turned off & on again.. and it starts to charge (without red light) soon as it hits 75% (much quicker than usual) the red light comes on & the charging greatly slows down (thought the charging had froze as it took so long to move 1%)

EDIT:

Is there supposed to be a red light when the usb is connected.. because there isn't

Yes, whether charged from USB or AC, the red light is supposed to be on. At least that was the case with the old kernel. I haven't actually looked too deeply at the new kernel for Super Z yet but I can't see it behaving any differently. You should try putting HF6 (or 7) on an SD card and see if that works better.

Are you running the experimental kernel?

Try the normal one, the experimental might have some issue here.

If the non experimental Kernel shows the same problem then I'd probably reflash back to HF6. If you have access to an original PSP charger then it might also be worth a try with that.

I had same problem months ago did you have your pandora overclocked when you charged it? ive found if the voltage is increased the pandora stops charging the battery at 80% and the light turns green then when you drop the opp level switch the pandora off and on the power is at 100%
