I got a firmware kit that's supposed to fix the battery issue. Haven't tried it yet (their firmware app is Windows, ugh)...
However, on other news I pre-ordered their new arcade, Super Street Fighter II - never was any good at it, but also spent quite a bit of time playing the original...

Yeah, I preordered, as I like these units and want to show support. I don't see SF being all that playable, but we'll see. I did recently get my Tempest, and it's good quality in regards to look and feel of the cabinet and art, etc. Sadly, the spinner doesn't work as it was originally intended, but for what it is, I think it works OK. Centipede actually exceeded my expectations, and Tempest just met them, but these for me are mostly art pieces, that I don't plan to play all out on.
Dragons Lair and Asteroids are up next, as well as a cool USB hub in the style of the old arcade token/quarter machines. I did do the Centipede update, but haven't tested it after the fact to see how well it holds the charge now, but it was a pain in the ass to do. I'm used to changing out system cases and the like, and I used to modify system with soldering, so I'm no rookie in basic tech stuff. But the cable you need to remove, is glued in, and the video shows to yank it out, which didn't sit well with me. So I ended up using a sharp razor blade and removed the glue, then removed the cable, as I just didn't see the recommended way working out as planned. LOL
I also recently got my Numskull 1/4 scale Pac-Man, and this thing rocks. Really cool overall shape, size and quality with my only issue being they set the lives to 5, so in case someone wants to go for a perfect score, which is insane to say the least. They should have included an option to adjust the extra player count, but they are planning a FW update, but no telling if it will happen or not. Many buyers had issues with this, so that's why their looking in to a fix, but it should have been set to 3 players by default, with an option for more as that's more accurate than the 5 player setting. Otherwise it's amazing, and I can't wait for their other units(Galaxian, Ms. Pac-Man & Galaga).
