Hmm, those are some weird cables unless you can actually use any of the 3 and that would be quite nice.

Look like SVideo + RCA Audio/Video (also if one of these plugs seems a female).

I'd guess it would be s-video + stereo audio (I think that red bit is an adaptor, rather than part of the cable)

I think this because it would seem very odd if you only got mono sound...

nice to to see this :) also its good that this connector is at the bottom of the console.
so now my question.. we see 3 cables 2 male cinch (one has a red female adapter on it, so it looks like for me) and one s-video. so it seems like this is svideo for video output and the 2 cinch for sound.

Bit short ain't it?

It's a breakout lead by the looks of it as others have said. You would put your own leads into it and then into the TV/Hi-Fi.

Looks nice and tidy IMHO. That Red part is a gender changer.

The EXT port have no sound, you must use the phone port on the top. Left is probably Coaxial (standard TV port here in Sweden). Middle is Svideo and. Right is probably standard RCA video (yellow/blue cable on most stuff here in europe).

Very good point about getting audio from the headphone socket. However I doubt they'll include an RF signal, as that requires an extra chunk of hardware (hence costing extra), and gives worse video quality than the RCA composite lead...
That said, if it's:
S-Video; Composite; Other
Then I have absolutely no idea what 'other' could be used for...

The picture on GP32Z looks like it has TWO RCA cables... so I'm guessing the red in this pic is for an extention cable... maybe it's so you can split the signal to 2 tvs?

Why? Do you prefer it there. Anyway, if it was possible, I'd rather it to be on top. gp32_console

anyway, looks nice and tidy to me, and *yay* s-video!!
may be a good idea to pick up some mini stereo to rca audio adapters if the audio out isn't through ext but headphone socket.
i have some, they're fairly cheap. i just wouldn't buy them from radioshack(can you say ripoff?).

Yeah, I think when most people say Radio Shack they really mean "any place with stereo equipment". I could probably find the things I need at Sam Goody or even Office Depot if I really tried.

The cables and connectors coming out of the top of the unit would make the unit tilt backwards under the weight. At least with the weight at the bottom it would feel more natural.
