So I grabbed a big-ass set of C64 roms (is that the correct term for games for the C64?) and have put Frodo on my SD card. Any recommendations for games to put on there? I never had a C64 back in the day, so I don't know what games for it are good and which ones suck.

I can't resist! The C64 was the pinnacle of my decent into gaming.
Even though there is a nice existing thread on this on the gp32 general board, I have to chime in here.
Some of my favorites from back in the day in no particular order ... (No idea if the gp2x can play all of these via Frodo...)

Street Sports Baseball
Street Sports Basketball
Test Drive: The Dual
Paradroid
4th & Inches
Skate or Die
Deathwish 3 (Way Before GTA)
Bagitman
Into the Eagle's Nest
Barbarian
Choplifter
Green Beret
Impossible Mission
Mail Order Monsters
M.U.L.E.
Shockway Rider
Samantha Fox Strip Poker
Space Taxi
Commando

As a side note, community boards like this were very different back in the day. The 1660 modem was 300pbs. If you had a blue connector on it you could get 750 bps. Ahhh ... the days of cmbbs and punter! The days when you could read the type almost as fast as it rendered!

I joined the online world when modems hit v32bis (2400bps)
Ah those were the days, phreaking a phone call to a Scottish BBS to download Amiga games at 1 hour for a 880k disk! lol

The only things you could call "roms" as far as c64 games are the few quite crappy cartridge games, and Frodo won't allow carts anyways.

C64 s/w was on tapes and disks, so the files are tape and disk images.

NOT ROMS.

Sorry, always bugs me to hear the term misused on the c64 ;)

Anyway, I think the best have already been covered in the threads here. It's all personal taste though, some people love the really old stuff that looks crappy but has gameplay or nostalgic value (Space Taxi for instance), I like the stuff that pushes the C64, like Creatures, Wizball, stuff like that. Also, Pinball Dreams has two tables developed for it already and should be out sometime next year, awesome conversion that will never work in Frodo, eheh.

Sigh. If only someone would put some effort into a decent C64 emulator. Frodo just isn't nearly 100%. Not that I'm complaining, but try to run any decent demo on Frodo ...

Actually not true, almost all of the games released for C64 are still officially illegal warez ;)

If you're offended by illegal warez, then checkout lemon64.com, they do have about 70 games that are officially freeware authorised by their creators.

All else is still illegal, although hardly ever enforced.

Karataka
I couldn't get this one to work either....

Ok, heres my suggestion:
M.U.L.E. !
Its the only game that I have gotten to work on frodo that I actually find myself playing. I have played this game more than any other game on my gp2x/gp32 except for maybe one or two RPG's.
