i just took a look at it and it seems like it'd be a simple port .. maybe something for later tonight .. ;)

I tried a quick port of C-Dogs SDL last night. Sound is ok, controls are ok ... :) Pity the graphics don't work :(

Are many people interested in a port? (I know you can run the DOS version in dosbox)

If there's enough interest I'll fix it.

I'm interested. I'm always interested in more ways to fuck around at work. :)

Pretty good reason to do it then. If it only gets one download I'll know who it was :)

Progress update:

Working now with a few glitches (most in the original game), but is playable.

1) Always starts in slow motion mode (can be changed from options)
2) Volume control doesn't work
3) Map key doesn't work

First feedback :

- Screen does not fill up screen. What gives?
- Music would be nice.
- Hope fixing the volume is simple. ;)
- THANK YOU SO MUCH!

These are all "features" of C-Dogs SDL, which is only at version 0.1 and described as an alpha version

1) The screen is 320x200, same as the original port - there is some scaling code in there but it uses floats which will slow it down, I'll try it though

2) Music has not been implemented, as it says in the code

/* TODO: put some SDL mikmod stuff here */

3) Not simple to fix the volume (ideas anyone?). It just uses the SDL WAV functions which don't seem to allow volume control. Like the music it needs doing with SDL_mixer.

about the screen being 320x200, why not just try to increase the "view" to 320x240, that's what i did for the gp32 port, the only drawback is that you have to change some Y postion for text
for sample volume controle, try to use the SDL_Mixer

I intend to increase the view size but there are quite a few hardcoded 64000s (320x200) etc. The text positions aren't so bad, I've had to move some already.
