I just got my new flu gp32, it was one of the last that lik-sang sold before pulling them from their site. I had a non lit a few years back which I ordered from lik-sang as well. At the time it cost me $10 more than my new flu and my flu came with an rf unit, dungeon & garder, and a few gp32 cd-r's. When I first started it up and turned on the light I was amazed, I don't know how I could stand using a non-lit way back the light just rocks. After that I went right for dr.md which is simply mind blowing. When I last had a gp32 the fastest emulator for a 16bit emu was snes9xgp which while some what playable was no where near as good as dr.md. I then tried out open snes which blows snes9xgp out of the water. I havn't really gotten to much else but those 2 emulators really blow me away compared to what was going on when I last had a gp32 so the advancments with emulator technology and the light really make this feel like a totally new system.

I forgot for a second that torch also means flashlight.

EDIT:
Accidently grayscaled it...

lol im glad I got my flu before lik-sang ran out because they arn't stocking anything right now. Sure it doesnt have the nice back lit screen but Im ok with that. It still destroys any handheld out in the US right now in my opinion(maybe not for long)

If you think a FLU is good you need to see a BLU, it is like 5X better contrast and no dust or trapezoid effect. :)

DaveC: I dont think that saying that just when he got his new FLU is nice <_<
You are right, I was dumbfound when started my BLU+ for the first time, but I can imagine how he must have felt the difference when upgrading from NLU to FLU.

angrypants: Enjoy your new unit and the great DrMD! :D

Your damnn straight, I had the chance to order a blu but didn't want to worry about the blu+ issues. I figured that the flu was enough of a diffrence that I would be happy with it, either way I can play it in the dark so I can't complain. Impressive stuff non the less and it's just nice to have a gp32 at all right now.

gbax are gonna take my broken non-flu gp32 back, personally i hope they replace it, and for a lit one cos what i paid for it back then was the almost the same price as a gp32 BLU is now and i dont mind paying £10 or so extra to have one with a light.

Yeah I suppose, but at least he will have something to think of in the future and look forward to if he wants to get a BLU too. There is still one level of GP32 goodness to go up to.

I had that feeling

Started with a Non Flu, Then I got the FLU and It was WOW Cool This is Amazing, Then I got the BLU It was WWOOOOOOWW This is Incredible!! :)

If you get the chance for a BLU, Get one. The FLU Still kicks ass so I kept mine :)

It's still a gp32 so I think WOW is all that really needs to be said. The psp and ds both have a light and are 3D but I highly doubt either will have a community like this and this sort of geek factor so WE WIN. Long live the gp32 and it's geeky emulation, movie / music, obscureness. I will rock the hell out of this little gadget for years to come.

suppose DSs and PSPs will be easier to explain to folk,

"whats That"
"new nintedo handheld"
"cool"

as opposed to

"whats that, A game boy?"
"No it a korean handheld it emulates old consoles"
"Emulate?"
"yeh plays their games on it"
"oh cool put metal gear solid on it!!!!"
"....."

Thats generally how it went, ive got them converted now its super popular in the common room at sixth form.

still really happy with my FLU, after nearly 2 yrs (!!!)
BLUE looks beautiful but i don't use it that much that i feel bad about not upgrading further (BLU+ issues notwithstanding)

though i'd trade up for free!!! haha

Ha! We all know how you feel? The best one is "woah, you can watch porn on it?"

Chances are that you would use it more if it was a BLU though because the colors and contrast look so much nicer. I know I do. When I had the FLU the washed out colors and dust bugged me so I didn't use it as much either.
