We should make compilations gp32 games and put them on bit torrent.

Maybe a doom, and wolf3d pack, then other wads and shareware wad(of course ;)

A windups with a collection of backgrounds, and music players too.

Action games pack.

Strategy games pack and a tech demo pack ( with things like gigas and yeti)

or we could put most of that stuff on a website and call it something like www.gp32x.de

However, in some ways either a pack or a big list of links would help newbies get all the stuff they want, a 'sampler' to try out the GP32 without worrying about which emu is best ...

but of course we would have to put a huge flashing link to it so we dont get the 1 millions post reading "i just bought a gp32 how do you suggest doing everthing from opening it to playing it"

Thats why i mentioned bittorrent (it excelent for that kinda stuff) romz that dont run fast could be omitted we could just include the god games too

What about a zip of the cd that gbax give away with the gp32? I never got one when I ordered from lik-sang and it seems to have a lot of recent (legally redistributable) content

Can anyone here make that zip into a torrent file the upload to a few torrent sites.

(could include a few fxe game with geepee emulator for making some new interest in the gp32)

PM the link if you have made the zip i will try and make a.torrent

I've written a program which bounces a pixel around the screen (it's black). You can include that if you like. It's not the most useful program what with lcds not needing screen savers, but it does bounce a black pixel around the screen. Okay so there's no double buffering or sound or controls or plot or even playability - it does get kind of hypnotic after a while though. 'sup to you, i won't be insulted if you say no. It's only a few hours work. It's not as if I slave sleepily over a hot cpu night after night after night MAKING SHIT PROGRAMS NO-ONE WILL EVER SEE! AAARRRGGHHH!
sorry about that. got a bit carried away. I'll work on the erm game engine and if it improves considerably, I'll give you guys another call. Bye!

This is a great idea especially if it was bundled with windups as this way... When people look at the free launcher all they would see is windups hopefully as the fxe's wouldn't have 2 be in gpmm with it. This way a very easy 2 use 'starter pack' could be made with emulators just being renamed to the consoles name on the windups icon

putting it on kazaa would be a MUCH better idea to target noobs because most noobs wouldnt even have the first clue as to what bittorrent is. but personally, i think the whole thing is a bad idea. what happens when much better updated versions of the files come out? you would then have a bunch of noobs with old files saying they sucked when they havent used the updated ones.

How about a gp32 site that looks a bit like downloads.com or even an ftp server.

Or if it goes on kazaa then a all you need pack with the date it was made in the name.

I may have my comp back uop to scratch as it's done in. When I do my site will contain quite a lot of stuff for the gp32. both good and bad. i'll put a shout out when it's done and if anyone wants there files on i'll see what i can do.

The GP32 community is too small to support this kind of thing. The torrents would die almost directly unless someone is keeping the client open for weeks, like someone said.

I don´t think it would work, kazaa, emule and dc may be better ideas because all the people who have the file will share it, unlike bittorrent where you must deliberatly "share" that specific file.
