Big-screen HDTV resources

Playful/Fascist Mod
Alright I'm posting this again, and this time maybe it won't cause the board to go "poof".

I've never been much of a windowshopper, so I haven't followed the big-screen HDTV market. But now, my family wants a new 4-foot HDTV, so I've been doing some research for them.

Any sites?

Any good deals? I doubt my family will spend more then $3000 on their new home entertainment system.

in case you didn't see my post on your other thread, i'll repeat it.

You can check out www.bestbuy.com or circuitcity.com, they usually have some pretty good deals, but believe it or not the best looking HD tv i've seen was at a Sears. I forget what the brand name was, it was japanese and started with an "H" i believe, but it was huge and was around 2999.99

hope this helps, if you live in the US

If they don't want to spend too much you can get a 42in projection screen for about $1000 if you shop around. I think since plasmas came out and started dropping in price they've realised they need to shift them fast. Jace

Well, we want the best quality for digital cable and DVD viewing. We'll probably also add a surround sound system or something like that.

You don't want a projection, the picture quality is not near as good as HD.
