(Bad)Joke Appreciation Corner

Can we take a little detour from the jokes? I'd love to hear about your favourite potato recipes. Apart from freedom fries with ketchup, I love boiled potatoes with butter and salt. Maybe you've got something that surprises me.

TIL that low doses of nicotine can protect from parkinson's disease.

Talking crisps - you can make your own with a mandoline and a microwave.

I like the nicotine. Or are you rather asking for something like Pringles?
Pringles might not be the best example, they already chose to use the term 'crisps' instead of 'chips' due to not using 100% potato (but also rice, wheat). Maybe their advertisements are also too hyperbolic ;)
As a kid I used to eat boiled potato topped with butter-fried caramelized sweet soy-sauce, I guess potato and butter is a nice mix. I haven't tried potato with nicotine yet.

Let's give fermented fries a try.

Besides, was there any attempt cultivating potatoes to boost the nicotine content? Then you can smoke your french fries!

I love grilled chicken or prawns with satay sauce. BTW peanut butter is a great food that keeps for ages. I just recently got into that stuff and I love it. Apparently preppers do, too ;-)

Just tried to send a DM and I keep getting a server error - is it just me?

@TeDaDeS
I just bought sweet soy sauce called "Ketjap Manis", it's almost half sugar - do I just bring butter up to temperature, add the sauce, stir and wait till it smells like caramel?

I also just drove past a tractor losing a few potatoes while taking a turn. I did not stop to pick them up and now I feel bad for the food. Oh well.

Maybe we should start a food thread. Since you-know-who is gone it might not end in disgust and veiled cries for help.

Also, when you feel dejected, it can also be the mortar that repairs your broken heart.
