Aquafish's Multi Firmware V5 !!

Aquafish could you give us more details about how to make a ZPR file. I've made one but it doesn't work could anybody tel me what's wrong with it?

Code:
   gp:\ gp:\gpmm\ gp:\gpmm\ gp:\ gp:\ gp:\gpmm\ bios.binCine.fxemp3.fxe Emu.zpr game.zpr img.fxe

The problem is taht it doesn't launch anything expect the firmware that are build in.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm having problems getting the boot.gif to display in the right colors. Everytime I try one it comes out in all the wrong colors, like if you jump into 8-bit color in Windows.

EDIT
Or PSP8 could just be gimp. Got it working.
how?

I've tried 3 gif's now. One using the GP32 palette and two using different 256 colour palettes. All saved with PSP. None of them displayed correctly :(

Did you end up using something other than PSP?

Okay... I understood how it works :)

Easy to create .zpr-files.

Just one question left:
I have quite a bunch of SMCs (one just for LJGP with a lot of roms, one just for FGB32 with a lot of roms, etc.)

Using the old firmware, I created boot.ini files which automatically booted the emu when the SMC was inserted and the GP32 is turned on.

For my games, I created custom menus on every SMC.

Now I only have one config which is being saved in the GP32.

How can I create different configurations for different SMCs and create custom menus (WITHOUT pressing L to update the configuration from an SMC?)

Don't forget that Spiv's FW is the FW of choice for developers due to the very impressive debug support, both via GDB and BiosMon, and its rock solid stability. Not to mention 32/64MB support .

Now Spiv's firmware and the sassy looking launcher (I like the pic). Hmmm .

Wait, doesn't Aquafish's firmware v0.5 come with the ability to boot one other custom firmware of your choice? My current version v0.48 is able to boot Spiv's Multifirmware v0.2 via it's raw bin file.

Aquafish,

Just wanted to say your Firmware is awesome! When I received my GP32, I tried flashing it with various firmwares, and so far yours is #1 in my book! V5 is extremely pleasing to the eye, and very efficient in regards to speed. I look forward to future releases of this great project!

Valeos

glad to see you like my work!!

i've received some little 'bugs' report, so i've just updated the packae : multifw 5.01 avaiable on my website... (thanks to the guys who send me their bugs repports ;) )

generalnmx> use acdsee to convert your bgs to gif, it's perfect for that :)

are you sure you've renamed the firmware file into fw.bin ???
yes, 've renamed the B variant to fw.bin.

ok, i've understood your problem...
you have to launch FW.FXE (not bconf.fxe) for flashing your gp32 !! read the readme !! ;)
ohw, ok that could be true.

my natural language is dutch, so i think i misunderstood the readme.
tnx

This new firmware is amazing. It's on my blu and now my blu has even gotten better! My old gp32 has 4.8 on it and it'll stay that way.... I have configured the the new bootscreen with the windows tool, and have a great background image (same as my windows background only gif and resized it to 320x240). I can even run various firmwares without even flashing my machine! Even the old original Korean firmware!

Wonderfull stuff Aquafish! You are the man!

...still my question remains:
Is it possible to create autoboots / custom menus which get automatically loaded from an SMC when you insert it (like with boot.ini on the old firmware)?
I have 8 different SMCs, each with different stuff on it... so autoboot / custom menus would be VERY nice...

What were the changes? They're not in the readme, nor do they seem to be on your website (not like I can read French anyway).

Oh I noticed a problem where it would randomly choose some .zpr file to be your start-up instead of conf.zpr. I had to delete all my zpr files, make new zpr files from stratch, and use bconf about three times until it started to work.

in the v5.0, you couldnt launch directly an fxe/bin(/zpr) on boot, it has been corrected in the v5.01 ... (and also a bug of the button for make the boot selector as default boot.)

 ?? i'll test that... strange bug..
