I have started to play Another World on CaSTaway which works pretty good, but it's hard to make out because of the dimness on my flu.

Are there any other versions out there that work well?

I have one called Another World which is for Genesis.

I completed it on a pc emulator.

This is quite special, as I have only completed two games in my life: Marioland 2, and Another World :)

Anyway, I thought it was exceptionally an well made game. Enjoyed it a lot more than Flashback. Quite a lot like Abe's Oddysee in fact.

edit/ haha, i looked up Abe's Oddysee on Underdogs and the reviewer there says it is "most like Out of this World" -- maybe i should be a games reviewer!! Although I would only be able to review the games i had played, which is about 18.

"Another World" was renamed "Out of This World" for the U.S. release ... I don't know why... it's the same exact game (I've played both versions).

Is there that much of a difference? It looks perfect on the BLU, I can't imagine that it would be that bad on a FLU. How about with the FL off and in a bright light maybe that would be better.

There was a project called RAW, wich was an opensource engine to play another world. Right now it's been taken offline but I still have the source. I was looking at it and it should be really easy to port. Not that I'll do it, since I don't have the time, but it would be very fancy to play it on the gp32 that way.

Unfortunately Castaway's gamma is incredibly poor compared to most emulators and I agree Another World is very hard to see on a flu. The snes version runs but is a little too slow for me, the megadrive version doesn't work on most/all? md emus.
