Can I still use my 1gb SD card even if it is not formatted to FAT32?
The reason I ask is that I have Windows 98 and I’m not sure how to format the card.
If I have to format to FAT32 any advice would be appreciated.
Indeed, only issue in using FAT is if the SD card is greater than 1Gb, as it won't recognise anything above this (is the limit on FAT 1Gb or 2Gb, I can't remember now)?NoidZ posted on May 23 2006 at 02:04 PM said:Then you can format it to whatever FAT you want

Double-click 'My Computer', right-click 'Removable Disk' then click 'Format...'
I updated from firmware 1.21 > 1.4 > 2.00 with FAT (FAT16) without issues.reallynotnick posted on May 27 2006 at 12:20 PM said:FAT16 is for anything up to 1gb and FAT32 is for idk the real limit but 1gb+.
I would not update my gp2x on FAT16 though but if you just want to run apps off it FAT16 works fine. Use FAT32 for updating the firmware.
