i got my gp 32 blu 166 mhz in the post today, i've been messing around with a media card, it's formatted using the supplied device manager, but i don't know what to from there. i want to play doom or beats of rage, but i don't know where to start, i got a disc with the gp32 but i haven't a clue what .fxe's and .wad's are. could anybody spell it out for me or tell me a site with an idiots guide.

see my sig for a link to the faq, give that a read.

also, to play doom you'll need the .wad files that come with it, i believe you can use any (shareware, doom I, doom II) and also the halflife .wad entered into one of the gbax compos will run.

An .fxe is basically a GP32 .exe. They normally go in the /GPMM directory. Most games an programs should come with adequate documentation that explains how to install them, so take a look at any read me files you can find and follow the instructions.
