    Selling Pandora Classic [SOLD]

I didn't know they were mythical, but yes! It works perfectly without the battery. Here's a pic of running on only the power suppy -- which, by the way, works perfectly well now (it seemed to have failed me completely, so i opened it up, found a weak solder point, fixed it, and now stays...

    Selling Pandora Classic [SOLD]

It’s been a great run, but I’ve not really used my Pandora for a few years, and it deserves a good home. It is the “classic” version: Defaults to 600MHz, but is perfectly stable at 1000MHz! 256 MB RAM. 512 MB NAND. WiFi works...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.0

Happy New Year! Running current-12, and it works beautifully. The problem with large file transfers dropping seems to be gone, too.

    Zelda Appreciation Thread

Thanks to milkshake for starting the thread!  I first played The Legend of Zelda in 1989, and the Zelda series has given me countless hours of enjoyment. I don't play any Zelda myself so much these days, but I have a tremendous amount of fun watching my 8 year old son playing "Zelda: Link to...

    Slackware inside Pandora.

Downloading now!  :D Thanks so much for all your work on SL4P -- probably my favorite project to follow on the Pandora. I've been showing off my Pandora w/ SL4P at work -- people just amazed at all you can do with it. I really enjoyed your write-up as well.

Is the open pandora worth buying with all these android devices around?

I actually kind of like reading this type of question every few months.  It helps keep the perspective of comparing the Pandora to whatever new happens to be out there.  I had never heard of the ARCHOS gamePad nor the JXD thing; both looked somewhat interesting.  But won't buy either - I have...

    Release Arora - Web Browser

Such an amazingly fast web browser. I am using it right now. So far, my only wish is that it could do Flash, but that is not a complaint. Bravo!

    Slackware for Pandora 14.0

Is your Pandora the 1GHZ 512MB version?  I just installed current version (current-8), and had the exact same problem as before copying large files.  I wonder if it has to do with me having a 1st gen Pandora. I wonder what Mindlord's version of Pandora is? ... totally understand not spending...

Weird Ubuntu Boot error. (Yes, this is on the Pandora.)

Yes, well, I like to think of it as kind of running in its own VM.  Let's not get too technical. ;) As for Win8 -- heaven forbid!  But we might get Win 3.11 up and running via WINE :P   http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/9797-slackware-for-pandora-140/page-34#entry243701

Weird Ubuntu Boot error. (Yes, this is on the Pandora.)

Just got Ubuntu working on my 1st edition Pandora following directions here: http://lxtek.de/pandora/ubuntu/ So far it seems OK, but really, really slow.  Also, can't use the digitizer at the moment -- I'll have to figure out how to enable. I also got all the odd, error messages, but I just...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.0

I can confirm the file transfer problem in 14.0-8 on my Pandora.  I have the exact same issue.  I have tried it from slot 2 to slot 1, from USB to slot 1, and USB to slot 2.  Files start to transfer, then the file transfer window closes, and the transfer stops.  The sizes were quite large 800MB...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.0

Thanks for the ideas hmc and Linux-SWAT. Moving the kernel to FAT was next on the list, but - I decided to resize the FAT32 to 11GB, and it worked! Interesting that there would be some sort of "hidden" size limitation... BTW, congrats Linux-SWAT on receiving a 1GHz Pandora!!!

    Debian on SD

Are the .tar files no longer being hosted? I just tried downlading 1.0.4, and got a 404 error message.

    Slackware for Pandora 14.0

Well, nuts. That didn't work, but it was a great idea. EDIT: I changed the autoboot.txt file to boot.txt in hope that I might get more info. Sure did. This is what happened: Because it is mentioning block number size, does this have something to do with my SD card being 32GB? Here is...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.0

Ah ha! I did not edit the boot.txt (autoboot in this case) I should change the partition there. I'll give it a go. Thank you, Crow TrashyMG.

    Slackware for Pandora 14.0

So, liking SL4P so much I decided to put it on my largest, fastest SD card. But, I still want to use this card occasionally on Windows. So I partitioned it like this: unallocated - 4MB partition 1 - 16GB fat32 (label=Storage) partition 2 - 14GB ext2 (label=SLACK) partition 3 - 512MB...
